

So I don't press/put pressure on the top of the drive when inserting a CD. I assume this is not good for the drive or the CD. You can feel the internals dragging while closing the drive's door.

The underside of the player is strong, but the top is thinner and depresses a bit while holding it in this manner. They have one problem that needs to be fixed: When inserting a CD, the natural thing is to hold the player on the top with your thumb and bottom with your other fingers to stabilize it (secure it so it doesn't move). They play DVDs, but I haven't tried recording a DVD. I enjoy this external CD/DVD drive and have purchased two of them.
